Giveaway: Mini Miranda Pattern and Sew Lazy Interfacing
Lazies, We just went back to print with our Mini Miranda Bag pattern (LGD124) and I’m having a giveaway to celebrate! Mini Mi is a nice sized tote, loaded with pockets and makes a perfect purse, too. Be sure to leave a comment after this blog post to enter our giveaway for Mini Miranda pattern and Sew Lazy supplies.
Bag Posture and Construction
Mini Miranda stands up straight and tall with our Sew Lazy Interfacings. Back in September we featured Mini Mi and walked through where and how to use our interfacings for this design. Be sure to catch that blog post here for a quick overview of the construction and materials.
Bag Interior
Here’s a peek inside Mini Miranda. She’s loaded with pockets to keep you organized. A fabric sleeve conceals our Bag-E-Bottom size F bag support, completing the interior with a beautiful finish for the bottom of the bag.
Who’s That Girl
Our beautiful cover model is Jessie Skoglund, daughter of my dear Lazy friend Karen. I’ve mentioned Karen in my blogs from time to time. You might remember she’s the one I feared would steal my fabric flower in a recent blog post. This is one of the outtakes from our photo shoot in my side yard.
Pattern Cover
Here’s the new Mini Miranda cover with Jessie. This is the first time we’ve shown a person on a pattern cover. I love the updated fresh look and design. Click image of pattern back to enlarge.
Mini Mi’s Arrival
It’s always exciting when a product arrives at Lazy Girl. Here’s a whole palette of Jessie and Mini Miranda. Patterns then get bagged, bundled in dozens for shipping, and find their place amongst the rest of the Girls while they wait to go out to customers.

Oh, love the regular Miranda! Would LOVE the Mini – and the interfacing. Thanks for holding this giveaway!
I just watched you on Kaye Woods and I really want to get started on your line of patterns. This bag would be a great start.

I love making bags. They are smaller projects than making a quilt.
Been wanting to make this bag for a long time. I need to get busy to have a greaty spring bag.
I’ve made several of the Lazy Girl patterns but never a tote. I’d love to try the new stabilizers. None of the LQS in my area carry it.
Haven’t made a bag recently, but I desperately need a new purse so it is on the to-do list.
Lazy…that is me!! Although I can make a Wonder Wallet in my sleep after making them in bulk for every holiday and special occasion and gifting them to daughters, sister, nieces, friends and even a few have been added to swap packages sent to far away lands. Market bags have been my bag sewing focus of late as we transition from using store supplied plastic bags to re-usable cloth bags.
This seems the perfect size & shape bag for my first bag…love it!
Haven’t made a purse like this one lately, but have made a large tapestry bag. I would love to have your pattern to make a Miranda bag. Love to see all your bags…
Lesley
I haven’t made a bag in quite a while, but my daughter is expecting a daughter soon. I need to get busy sewing! Would love to make a bag for her!
I been searching for a purse pattern, as I really need a new purse and I love to say I made it myself”. If I win I can say “I won from a Lazy Girl contest”
I did just make a bag last month and got lots of comments… I always tell anyone that asks about making one to use your patterns your instructions are so good very easy to follow
I have made several bags lately. I have two more I need to cut out and sew.
It’s been over a year since I made a new bag for me…I’m so-o-o overdue! It’s really getting ratty!
I made a very simple bag but this one is far more stately! Love it.
I haven’t made a bag lately, but the Mini Miranda would be fun to make. I love that the pockets are lower. Things won’t fall out.
I haven’t made a bag in way too long and it’s time! I’d love to jump back in with a mini-Miranda!
Love the Mini Miranda bag- especially the strap across the top- to keep it closed- but quick enough to open for easy access.
I just made two large totes for my girlfriend and her mother who were going on a Quilting Cruise. I made them from a sturdy fabric called shoe canvas. On the front I embroidered their name ,and embroidered the back with an Owl on one and a Cardinal on the other. (Their favourite birds). Added lots of pockets on the inside and out. For these totes I used two sets of handles: short ones to carry by hand, and a longer strap to wear over your shoulder. The recipients were very pleased and even sent me a picture of them wearing their totes in front of the cruise ship!
Love this bag. Can’t wait to get the pattern hopefully during our State of Maine Shop Hop in April. Love all you bag and tote patterns.
Thank You
I have not made a bag, but I bought some fabric just for that purpose. I have been looking for a good pattern for one! I like that this one stands up nicely and has lots of compartments.
Thanks for doing the giveaway!

Love the Mini Miranda, and I need a new Spring Mini Miranda! Love the fabric on the new cover. Have not used the Stiff Stuff or Dreamy Fusible Fleece yet. Thanks for the opportunity.
Last bag I made was around Christmas. I am in need of a new fun spring bag 🙂
I made a tote from The long thread blog. I used fusible fleece for the first time and I LOVED it.
I have made several bags lately and would love winning this! Thanks for designing it!!!
It is about time for me to make another Lazy Girl bag as a gift for a special friend. She loved the one I made her before……especially all the inside pockets!
I do not drive, so stayed home in the country this winter, yet did not sew a bag, but a quilt. I’d love to make this bag and thank you for a chance to win!!! karen608 at yahoo dot com
Well, my sewing has been quite low for a while, but last week I decided to try some machine embroidery, and wow, I did miss spending time in my sewing studio. So, now I’m taking up on lost time and sewing all day long. Maybe my next project will be a mini Mi, in fabrics celebrating spring!
I was just thinking I need a new bag as the season is changing from winter to spring.
Haven’t made a bag in a while.
I am so ready to make another bag. I like the smaller bags so this one is perfect for me!
Am taking a roadtrip to Tennessee this summer. This bag would be perfect. Never made a bag before.
I’ve made your “Summer Tote” for myself and have had a ton of compliments on it. The pattern was so easy to follow, had no trouble at all understanding the instructions!! I’d love the chance to try your new interfacings, as I want to make another tote and a new purse! Thanks for giving us a chance to win!
Yes I made a bag for my guild’s brown bag trade.
Love this bag, the inside pockets are wonderful. I have material picked out for a new bag just haven’t decided which one to make yet.
Hi Joan, have missed your chat online, so was sure that you were busy with some new project. Now we know it is “Mini Mi” hope it is as big a success as your past endeavors. I look forward to using the new interfacings soon.
I really like the new artwork and lovely model on your pattern! It is very convenient having a “live” model to compare the size of the bag to 🙂
I made a pencil case, but not a purse!!
I so need a new bag/purse … looking for a small one
Love the Lazy Girl designs. Have the book rulers, some patterns and all my family have a wonder Wallet. A good Christmas gift for Grandchildren….just add some dollars and it is a super gift.
Love your patterns and this one looks like fun. I make lots of bags and include many accessories along with the bags I make. These include matching wallets, makeup bags, calendar covers, key fobs, etc. I’m known as the bag lady around here. Keep up the great work.
oh my this is so sweet… would love my name to be entered in the draw for the Mini Mi
I would love to win this…have been wanting to try a purse/tote but have not found a pattern that looked worth trying. This one sure fits the bill!!!!!! Lovely!
It’s a cold rainy day here, and I was just thinking about making a new bag for Easter when the Lazy Girl post came through. What a great bag! I’ve made several Claires for myself and friends. The Miranda pattern is laying on my work table amidst several fabrics. I can’t decide…guess that means I’ll need to make multiple bags! Maybe the Mini Me will be among those. Keep up the good work! I love your styles and the easy directions.
The pattern photo is extremely eye catching and beautiful. I like that I can tell exactly how big the bag is and the fabric choice makes me ready to sew. I need that bag! Great job.
Great giveaway! count me in please!
The last bag I made was for my daughter!
To answer your question; yes, I have made several bags lately with light aquas and greens, kind of springy. Your patterns have clear instructions, thanks for all the hard work you put in them.

The last bag I made was the Miranda bag. I love that it has a pocket for my e-reader.
I also made the purse insert. Both were super easy to make and I love them. Thank you for making such cute and easy patterns!! : ) The mini Miranda is on my list of bags to make…
I have made a number of your bags – I love ’em all!!
MMmmmmm, Mini-Miranda looks like the bag for me. Pockets galore, sturdy bottom, firm sides. What more could a girl ask for in her most necessary companion? I’ve made several bags in the past year and the only ones that truly answer my needs are the ones made with your Face It Firm and Stiff Stuff Firm interfacings!
Haven’t made a hand bag, but I have been making trash bags for cars and children’s clothes. I love this style bag.

I love Lazy Girl Designs Bags and have all the ingredients for a new Claire bag sitting in my sewing area just waiting for me to have the time to get her done.
I haven’t made a bag lately because I haven’t found just the right pattern – until now. I like the looks and all the inside pockets. Also the size looks to be just right. I’m not a fan of really big bags, stuff falls to the bottom and it’s like a treasure hunt to locate the keys, etc.
I love Lazy Girl patterns. Haven’t tried the Mini Miranda. Thanks for the chance to win!
Love the look of this bag!!
I haven’t made a bag in ages. Would love to try some of the new interfacing materials.

Love your bags. The directions are always easy to understand and so much fun to make. Thank you for being our Lazy girl.
I made a two totes last summer. One matches a baby quilt and was a gift, the other is for me. It is large enough that I can pack for a weekend. But I need bag that has more pockets for organization. Your patterns would be terrific.
Love the bag pattern!
Lazy Girl purse and bag patterns are my “go to” patterns for gifts, bridge prizes, and my personal use. Love them! Gave away 3 this past weekend for door prizes at a club roundtable meeting.
Hi, I am a new sewer and have made four simple totes so far. I am looking forward to increasing my skill level to the point where I can make this beautiful bag. But first, to figure out how to replace the needle I broke yesterday when I tried to sew through two layers of cotton twill (for the handles of the last bag). By the way, can anybody recommend a good book or website on the ins and outs of using a sewing machine (Pffaf Ambition).
Thank you,
Madeline in Victoria, B.C. Canada
I have made a lot of your bags, but not this one, would love to have the pattern.
Love to make all your bags… don’t get to keep very many however. They seem to disappear right after a visit from my daughters- grandaughters or daughter-in-law. Wonder where they go! Love the Mini Miranda- Thanks for the patterns and chance to WIN.
I have been thinking about it but I’m in my early forties and my eyes are giving me fits. Still looking for a way to see well when I’m sewing … things either have to be really close or far away….any ideas for this? So want to get back to sewing!
I have made 5 Claire bags but am ready for something new. Love your patterns – easy to follow.

I love your bags, I’m presenly making my third City Bag. This time without the handles and making the shoulder strap longer, to have it cross over my chest, to take with me when I shop.
I’ve also told my sewing group about your web site. Keep up the great work.

I have made many bags for others. Last October I finally made one for myself to take on a trip. But the latest “bag” I made was a “Daddy diaperbag” for my son at Christmas. His 1st child was born just this Friday. They got to take Maya home today!
Your patterns are perfect for those of us who want quality and something that fits our personality (or the grandchildrens’ personal taste in color and pattern). My youngest granddaughter was inspired by one of your purse patterns and learned to sew!
Thank you,
Jan
What an amazing bag, I havent had the chance to make one of your bags yet and this looks like a great opportunity. I recently made a cute purse what a SASSY city girl print. Thanks for the opportunity to win one of your designs.
I’ve made a lot of the Lazy Girl bags and I’d like to add the Mini Miranda to my closet. Thank you for the opportunity to win!
I haven’t yet to complete a nice bag. I’ve just started on a cross the body side pouch to carry my iPad. I’m winging it on my own using new fabric and ‘leather’ accents from an old shoulder bag that had been destined for the charity box. I’m hoping it comes out pretty as well as functional!
I would love to win your pattern and materials! Thanks for the chance at winning!

I am so anxious to get into my craft room and get some sewing done. I really thought the winter would lend itself to some down time but somehow Spring is almost here and the clock just keeps ticking. I need something to get me excited and motivated to sew… The Mini Mi looks like the perfect project.

A mini-Miranda, this looks like a great tote bag for keeping supplies on quilting get-togethers. You always have such fabulous fabrics too. Looking forward to the pattern.
Love everything about this bag. So wanting to try your interfacing…..
I am in the process of making a bag for my mom to use on a cruise.
I would love to make this bag for myself.
The last bag that I have made was the week before Valentine’s Day. My 15 year old brother asked me to teach him how to make a purse (tote styled bag) for his girlfriend for V.Day. I made my own easy-to-do pattern and went step by step with him on how to make a purse/bag. He did AWESOME! In fact she takes it to school all the time and showed it off to all her girl friends, whom may I add are jealous becuase their boyfriends didn’t make them one! It’s a reversible, skull tote (what can I say, it’s coming from a teenaged boy). One side is black with white skulls and the other is white with black skulls. One of the best times we spent together….Now I’m trying to get him to want to make oven mitts or a table cloth for mom for mother’s day… he just laughed at me…
I have been contemplating making another bag lately….my other one has handles that need replaced. Yes! I use it that much. I just can’t decide which pattern to use this time.
Haven`t had the time to sew lately, but one of your bags is next on my too do list.
I haven’t made a bag in a little while, but I need to make some gifts. This would be perfect if I won!!!
So pretty!! I made a bag for a cruise last August, but none lately. Would be a lovely new spring addition!

No, I haven’t made a bag in a really long, long time. Thanks a bunch for the chance to win! ?
At the present time, I am helping to set up my sister-in-law’s new sewing room. We have really enjoyed the time together discovering that our tastes are really close. She is as interested in making bags as I am so I introduced her to Lazy Girls Handbag patterns and supplies. We especially like the Miranda. I believe it will be the first we tackle. Thanks so much for all your tips and instructions.
I love to make new bags, would have a different one for every day of the year if I could! P.S. My b-day is 3/22 so it would make a perfect present!!
I love a person on your cover — helps me see the relative size of the bag!
Love the color combos and all the pockets.
Yesterday my music major daughter asked for different totes for each of her “music” classes to help her go from class to class quickly. She plays pipe organ, piano, harp, acustic(sp) guitar and sings. Each subject has a different set of music books and lesson materials. We decided rather than carrying everything — heavy! — to make separate totes so all she had to do was grab the one she needed. I have my work cut out for me and you’ve inspired me to add lots of pockets!
Keep giving us more Lazy pretties!
Beverly

I love this bag, I haven’t made a big bag like this lately, only a small one last week. I did try your interfacing and batting, my bag turned out really nice.
I have just started sewing. I have made 3 bags!!
I love the photo with a person. Helps to get a good idea of the size.
Hi!
I haven’t made a bag yet but I’m looking forward to putting your new interfacings to the test. I’m hoping they are exactly what I am looking for!
Thanks for this give-away offer and the generosity with information!
Love Lazy Girl bags! Haven’t made this one and would LOVE to win it!!
Thanks!
Would a clever comment help? I really want a chance to play with the new interfacings and have a smaller bag..my shoulder has sent an urgent request for the smaller bag part. Sew, throw my big bag, uh, hat in the mix. Thanx for the opportunity to participate.
I recently made a drawstring bag for my daughter and would love to make this great bag for myself 🙂 Thanks for the sweet giveaway….love seeing a real person on the pattern so I can see what size the bag is.
This looks like a great bag – just what you’d expect from Lazy Girl Designs!!!!
I’ve been making wallets, not bags but I feel the need for a new bag coming on! The mini looks perfect!
I haven’t made a purse lately, but would love to make this one. I like all those pockets inside and the overall design of the purse. Very functional while being stylish too. Would be very happy to win this giveaway, as I have plenty of fabrics that would make up nicely with this pattern. Thank you!
Love the Miranda & use it all the time but I would really like to make the mini Miranda it look like a wonderful bag. Love your patterns.
I have not made a bag since last spring; I think it’s time for a new one.
I made bags for two of my four daughters for Christmas this past year. Last night my 7 year old was browsing my sewing magazines and found some fabrics she just loved. She hinted that she needed a new purse. This would be perfect for her to carry her Sunday school supplies back and forth.
I so desperately need to do something LAZY!!! I’m right in the middle of making a bag in a gray ostrich vinyl and it is very complicated! I really need a break to sew something light, fun, and beautiful like the Mini Miranda bag! And I just bought a gorgeous piece of Caribbean blue cotton with dragon flies on it…..oh the possibilities! Pick me!! Pick me!! LOL!!!
love making these bags would love to win
Absolutely love love this bag. I have not sewn in a while due to heallth issues but this may be my first. The colors are fantastic and it looks like a pattern that I don’t have to be a profesonal o do. Thank-you for sharing!!!
Justo tengo que hacer un bolso a mi sobrina para la escuela, y este me parece el adecuado.
I love the size of this bag. Perfect for all my stuff. Your patterns are great!
My daughter needs a new Miranda and this Mini looks like just her size. Love the bags and love to make them. 🙂
The last bag I made was a TAMMY TADD design. Great, large bag! I made threee of them for my daughters and they use them as an overnight bag.
I have made bags for many other people but now it’s time to make one for myself. This bag would be awesome!
I love Lazy Girl patterns. I just got fabric for a summer tote and the mini Miranda would be perfect. I just finished a tote for a friend of mine. Thanks for the chance to win.
The mini Miranda looks the perfect size purse. I really like seeing the bag with pretty gal. Easier to judge the size of bag or purse.
Love, love, love it and with spring coming it is definitelt time for a new bag or two or three.
I haven’t made a purse since the holidays, but it’s about time! I love Lazy Girl patterns, but haven’t tried the interfacing and batting yet. Excited to do so!
I have not made a bag lately but this looks like a great bag to make just for me.
Just finished a cosmetic bag sized clutch that uses a tape measure for opening/closing. I would love to make a mini Miranda to match.
Thanks for offering the give-away.
This is a REALLY great bag!!! Actually, I am on the way out the door to buy fabric for a messenger bag for my granddaughter’s birthday in 2 weeks. :o)
maryellen at maryzoom dot com
I love the mini Miranda bag and would love to try the interfacing. I have made 20+ Margo bags in 3 sizes for myself and gifts, it’s all I carry!
Made a new bag recently but wished I had this Miranda bag pattern at the time , much bigger than the bag I made . But it’s all good , gave it to one of my granddaughters
I’ve made several RunAround Bags which really boosted my sewing self esteem (after lots of garment sewing disappointments). My sisters have birthdays coming up, and I think this tote pattern would make lovely gifts. Your instructions are so crystal clear! Thank you.
The last bag I made was an origami bag, a drawstring, gift for a friend. A lot of my GFs are crafty people, and I make them for sewing notions — or beading tools/projects — or tatting shuttles and tools, etc. You get the idea!!!
http://leliaevelyn.blogspot.com/2013/03/someone-will-have-brand-new-bag.html
Your bag is so lovely. A lot of thought went into the pattern – looks so well constructed – a pocket and place for EVERYTHING!!!
Thx.
That’s too cute and just in time to get made for spring use. I love the color shown too.
I have made several Lazy Girl bags as gifts and one to donate to a fundraising auction. Everyone loves them!
Stunning give away. Thank you!
I have not made a bag, but it is on my quilting bucket list.
I have made myself many a City Bag and loved them, I have not tried these particular stabilizers. It’s also time for me to try a new style.
cute, cute… I would love to make this bag…
Just finished a “wow” bag which converts to a duffle. Made a Miranda for my neighbor and my daughter. We would all love a Mini Miranda so I hope I win the pattern. Thanks.
I just finished making my first Candace bag after having made 4 Margo’s. This time I used some foamy interfacing that I got before Stiff Stuff came out. After all that hard work, I am wishing that I had used Stiff Stuff instead. The bag looked great the first day, but it is getting some strange little wrinkles in it. Oh dear! I love Lazy Girl patterns because the directions are so good and the styles are really pretty. Miranda looks like a winner, too!
The last bag I made was a Candace. Just love those bags!
This looks like so much fun, and I’d . Love to try the new interface a Xing.
I’ve been making Runaround Bags lately….and some Whimsy. But I really need to try out the mini-Miranda and the new interfacings. 🙂
You make THE BEST bag patterns, because they are easy to sew, easy to follow, and always turn out great!
Nancy
Too cute! I have never made a bag before and this one is too cute to pass up!!
I’m making a bag right now…..to give away in a swap. Rats! I could use a bag myself and this is a beaut!
Love the Lazy Girl patterns and I’m looking forward to seeing them in the quilt shop. I’m also very impressed with you new interfacing products.
The last bag I made was one of your slicker totes. It was easy, and a fun way to try the new Lazy Girl products! The new bag would be a perfect size for spring!
I love your patterns and have made one of each, my daughters love them and they each have their own choices on sizes, etc.
Love your bags! Making one is on my to-do list. I really like your new packaging showing the bag being worn by a model. Really helps to see the size of the bag in perspective. Thanks for a great give-away offer!
Looks like I need to make a mini miranda since I have “Two” patterns in my stash. How did that happen? Guess I really liked the look. Love your idea of putting a person on the purse and love any giveaway. Keep up the good work!
I love making purses. In October, I made one with snowman fabric. Lazy Girl patterns are my favorite, they’re directions are so easy to follow? .
Wow! What a beautiful bag! I have to mak one of these. Thanks for the chance to win.
I have made several bags from your various patterns. The Miranda Bag is one of my favorites. Looking forward to making in the mini-size. I have not tried your new interfacing, but look forward to ordering and receiving the product. Always enjoy your posts.
I love all your bags and prints you use. Look forward to your blogs.
Thanks for a great chance to win so many goodies. !!! I like having the choice to choose type of I terracing as that’s the part that makes the bags look more professional
Thx
ME
I think this is a great purse and i like it alot. Please keep making great bags.I haven’t made any lately trying to figure out one to make for daughter and daughter in law.
Oh I just love bags and have been making my toddler many different types of bags lately. Shoulder bags, drawstring bags. They are colourful and so good to store loads of toys etc
I love making bags! Just finished a Lazy Girl bag for my mom for mother’s day — for once I am ahead of a holiday! Would love to try your interfacing.
Just what I need – a bag that doesn’t swamp you but has loads of pockets! Perfect for petite ladies. In fact a mini Miranda for a mini me!
Hazel
I really need a new spring bag, as my winter City Bag is far too dark! I need to make something bright to lift my spirits!
I have made quite a few purses, but never one of yours. Looking forward to trying one in the near future. Thanks for a chance to win some “goodies”
Love it! I would enjoy making it
I haven’t made a bag in a while but I love this one! I really love bags too!! My DH is always giving me a bad time about it….but that is life—right? Thanks for a chance to win.
I recently made a “Candace” bag as a gift. “She” was a HUGE hit. I made myself one first and love her. I have several Lazy Girl patterns and appreciate the explicit instructions. My next trip to the cutting table is for the “Claire”, also to be a gift. Thanks again for all the wonderful patterns.
I just made a bag for my daughter. I used a pattern I hadn’t tired before and we both hated it. I made some adjustments and it is ok now.
I made a bag from a magazine pattern, Quilts and More, but it’s more of a ‘project bag’, oversize hobo style. This bag is amazing!! I love all those pockets!! I hope I win but even if I don’t this one is definitely on my list to own!!
Love your patterns!
I love the new look to the pattern – great for really seeing the scale of the bag – and the fabrics you used on it are just yummy! Thanks for the chance to win!
Yes I have made one that is pieced with a log cabin design and than a big fussy cut flower adhered to it with Steam A Seam. I love this one on your page because of the flap closer and the “pockets” inside too.
I last made a tote bag with a ‘crazy quilt’ pieced front. It turned out great. I like to add zipper pockets to the interior of the bags & purses I make. Your new pattern front looks great!
Great idea to re-release. Love this bag and would love the chance to win it with the new product.
It has been too long since I have made a bag! This is great inspiration. Thanks.
I made and wore out a full size Miranda. I haven’t had time to make a new one, but would (almost) give you my first born to be able to make a new one. 😉
I love your designs and I am very curious to try your new product on the bags! Thanks for the opportunity and for a chance to win.
would love to win thanks
Just finished a new bag yesterday. Used my embroidery machine to decorate the pockets. I love making bags and have several Lazy Girl patterns.
This is a great size and look great!!!
I was just looking at my current Miranda this morning and thinking it is time to make a new one. I took time off of making bags to make a Mother of the Bride dress. She got married two weeks ago and I took the week off last week. I’m ready and rarin’ to go again and could really use the new pattern and accessories! Thanks for the offer.
I haven’t made a bag lately, but have a few planned. Ready to get started!
Yes, I’ve made several bags lately. That little bag I made for the Evelyn Grace Foundation is a go-to favorite for gift giving. They always go over well!
Ellen
I love making bags. I have been looking for quite a while to find your fusible fleece with absolutely no luck. I live in NW PA. I generally only shop in quilt shops and rarely venture into the big box stores. Where could I find your fusible fleece? Thank you for your great patterns.
Hi have made the Margo bag and very impressed with zipper insertion am anxious to try your new mini Miranda
would like to make this purse for friends.
I love your patterns, especially now that I’ve figured out how to make some of the pockets zippered. I find that the wide-open inside pockets make it too easy for my phone, etc. to fall out.
I haven’t made a Lazy Girl pattern lately. The last bag I made was a Mini Bowtucks for a class I taught.
Love this bag and all the pockets. Will definitely have to make it.
I haven’t made a bag in more than a year, so I could use this to kick start me!
This bag reminds me of summer and all the fun fabrics makes it perfect for the season. I have not made or purchased a a new bag in a very long time BUT just last Thurdsay I bought a new pattern. I should have waited, I like this one better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would love to use some of your interfacing for a new purse. I’m itching to make a new on, although I have made several by your patterns.
I have made several of your bags…Frankly I think The Lily is the cutest (I have made 2 for gifts and 1 for me). I have also made 2 Maggie bags. In addition I have fabric for the Margo and the regular size Miranda. You may think I’m crazy but I want to make them all. The Runaround bag is cut out to be used for my Kendle Fire, but it may be too small so I may use the Sassy bag instead. I love how you have thought out your pattern steps…You have made a believer out of me and I sing your praises to my friends who sew…anxiously await any new pattern
Am always looking for Lazy Girl patterns…How about Lazy Girl Housework? I’d be in for that!
Thanks for the opportunity to be in the drawing.
I’ve made several Mirandas, but haven’t gotten the Mini as yet. Love the fabric on new pattern envelop. Love all your patterns.
Love the bag. Have made a couple quite some time ago but never used your interfacing. Would like to though. Have also made several of your other designs.
I have my first Lazy Girl bag in the works. Love the size and look of this one!
I haven’t made a purse for a little while, but have one in the planning stages. I have the fabric, just have to go through my patterns & see which one to make. I would love to win this. I like the size too, & the fabric it’s made out of. Thanks for the chance!
This looks like a fun bag to make and to have. I just got the Margo Bag Pattern but havent made it yet. Thanks for sharing with all of us!
Cute bag! I’ll have to make it for spring! I recently made your Newport Bag!
I just made a purse from your line of wonderful patterns and have one cut out for my daughter. This give away is a really nice one. Thank you for the opportunity to win!
Love this bag, have not made it yet, but love to make the Margo bags. Get complements all the time on them. Getting ready for a retreat where I tend to make more bags….
No I haven’t made a tote since before Christmas. Just can’t get back to sewing much this new year. Gonna have . I would sure love to win this pattern. I love it. Linda Sadler

I sure enjoy your newsletters.
Thank you
This has been a tough school year, I haven’t done any sewing since September! I have admired the ‘lazy’ method for quite some time and I would love to make a Lazy purse.
Love the bag and the pockets it has in it! Great way to keep me organized, I’ve never made a bag, but, would certainly give it a try if I was to win this!
Thanks for the entry.
Debbie
I’ve made myself several Margo bags – my favourite bag pattern ever. I find that the fabric handles start to “wear” after about a year – good excuse to make another one! I have the Miranda pattern, and that will probably be my next bag – the fabrics are already chosen – just need to find a spare hour. You don’t sell them, do you? LOL
Purses are Pretty…its been awhile since I made one but purchased two at our recent quitl guild boutique…My “pursemaker” loves Laziy Girl Patterns I hope to get my courage up to make a purse.
I’m making small bags and clothes for my trip to Florida!
Oh my, I do love this bag. Would love to win…I have several Lazy girls bag patterns. Clemmie
I made a bag last summer. Not as nice as these, though. The mini Miranda would be perfect for Mother’s Day gifts!
I love the Mini Miranda. I have lost weight and need a mini bag to complement my mini figure. It would be a wonderful change to make something which doesn’t require fitting.
Hope I win. It’s just fun to say “Mini Mi”. Nice yard, too.
It has been well over a year since I have made a bag. Thank you for the chance to win this great prize.
Love Lazy Girl bags! I have a closet full, but there’s always room for more! Keep them coming!
Have not made a bag lately but. I love this pattern and would love to try your products. Hope I win. Thanks for a great blog. Donna Davison-Smith
I recently made a purse that I used daily. Getting better with each project! I love this bag! I haven’t made a tote or bag yet! I’m new to sewing!
I love to make bags for myself and as gifts. This one looks like a winner! I love all the pockets.
I haven’t made a bag lately but have the fabric and idea for one for spring and summer–if they ever get here. Now which Lazy pattern to use.
love your fabric too. What is it?
I am working on a tote right now using Texture Magic.
I made one about six months ago and thought today that I need to get another one made. Maybe after Easter dresses for grands are made; 3 down and 1 to go. thanks for the pattern
Mine! Mine! Mine! I want to win….. It’s Mine!!! : D
Lovely bag. Can’t wait to work with your products.
Love the look of this bag. I am trying to become a “Bag Lady” – you know, started with a library bag for the kids, a tote or two, now working my way up, all the while gaining confidence. Have loved lookiing at your bags over the years and they are close to next on my list. Don’t mind if I don’t win (but would love to) and I look forward to seeing each new bag as they come out – be it a new bag or different fabrics on my favourites.
I am amassing a wardrobe of Lazy Girl bags. Of course I need one more to add to the collection. I don’t even look at other patternmakers. I know Lazy Girl has the easiest and best looking bags.
I have not made a bag lately. I made a pouch for a swap and have a little wallet on the go but no bags. They scare me a bit actually. All those layers and thicknesses for the machine to go through.
the bag looks great….
I love making bags but they usually go to other people. If I win this I would keep this one for myself. Love all of your patterns!
I haven’t made a bag in the last 2 years. I really like the look of this bag and it would be a great way to get me back into the swing of things. I have made at least a dozen of the Lazy Girl patterns in the past years. Thanks!
I haven’t made any bags lately. The last one was a Capri sun bag, of all things. I would love to try your pattern!
Thanks so much for a chance. What a wonderful giveaway!!
I only make Lazy Girl bags! The Candice is my current favorite! I’ve made probably 10 of these, for me, my best friend, my mother, me again, and again and again!
I do not have the Miranda pattern and would love to win it! Thanks for the giveaway!
I’d love to try Mini Miranda! She looks perfect for me!
Love your ideas for patterns. Also, the combination of fabrics…makes everything so special!
Have a skin that I got last year. Think it would be excellent for this lovely pattern
Absolutely love the Lazy Girl Bags…have so many of the patterns but not this one. Would love to win this one.
I have made quite a few bags lately… it is becoming a bit addictive. As soon as I finish one I am dreaming up what I would like to try next.
Thanks for the giveaway.
Love the bag. I’ve made several fabric baskets, but no bag as of yet. Thanks for the chance to win.
I made 2 bags last month at a retreat and might make another this weekend at a retreat. The mini-Miranda looks like fun. 🙂
I have loved your patterns for long time. I’d love to try your new interfacing. I have just the right fabric to use for this bag. My sister-in-law will love it.
It would be so fun to win the pattern for this tote and of course to make it also. It looks so cute and just the right size for me.
Would love to win. I have made two bags this month. One for myself and one for a friend
The last bag I made was from your Runaround Bag. I think I made about 8 of them … they’re addicting!
My first Lazy bag was the Miranda (made two of those), then the Mini-Mi, Claire, 2 Margo, and the the sRunaround. I have Candice but haven’t made her yet.
I am dying to try your new stabilizers and I don’t have the bag-e-bottom for any of my bags so I’m pumped over the possibility of winning! (I can always share the extra Mini-Mi pattern with my VBF!)
Peggy
I have made the gracie bag. I just love that bag and so do the people I have made them for as gifts.
I have a pattern to make a duffel bag, but haven’t started it yet. Last October I made a bag out of pet screen to use for my Costco shopping. The Mini Miranda bag is the perfect size to use as an everyday purse. Thanks for the opportunity to win.
No not lately, but I do need to make a new one as I have just joined a new patchwork group and need a new bag for that so I can take my craft stuff with me in a more orgainsed manner.
Have not made a bag lately….and it’s way past time! Love the size and look of this Miranda bag. It looks so neat on the inside….must be the interfacing! Really would love to try the Lazy supplies offered. Thanks for the giveaway!
I made a hobo bag for my daughter last year. The first one I made too. 🙂
I love this pattern and really love the color combo.
I love your patterns….emails and efforts you put in for your lazy customers!
I am working on a quilted handbag right now. I really like the dividers in the bag Miranda bag.
Miranda is my all time favorite and also Mini Mi. Would love to make it with the new line of interfacing and I really, really need something new for Spring!
Mini Miranda is just the inspiration I need to make another bag. It has been over a year since I made my last bag. And I would love to try these fleece products.
The last bag I made is a little bitty one that I regularly over-stuff, because even though it’s little I love taking it everywhere! It would be nice to give it a break by making a new (larger, well pocketed) one, and your Mini Miranda looks perfect. I could definitely get attached to that. 🙂
Thanks!
Mini Miranda looks like a great bag. I’m in the process of making a bag for my daughter-in-law right now. A roomy tote in pink batiks with lots of pockets.
You certainly have not been lazy! Another nice twist on a favorite pattern. Your patterns are always clear and easy to follow. Thanks!
Have made several Lazy bags. Would like to work with the new line of interfacing and fleece. Thanks for a great giveaway.
I have never made a bag before but love this one. It looks easy for a first -timer!
Hi Joan
I love making bags and I am always working on one, including Lazy Bags! I am in the middle of making a lunch bag right now. Would love to receive this pkg. I’m dying to try the new Face-It Firm fusible med/heavy interfacing and Stiff Stuff Firm sew-in interfacing. Thanks for the chance to win 🙂
I have a Claire and a Margo started now. I’d love to get the mini-Miranda!
Love this bag. Ive only made one bag because I have not found one i really like.
Love all the Lazy Girl patterns and would really love to win this one!
I think your bag patterns are terrific! Especially the easy zipper top.
Would love a chance to win! Haven’t made a bag in a bit, but there are a few on the list of things to make this year. Thank you!
Unfortunately, I haven’t made any bags lately; trying to finish a quilt first. Mini Miranda is beautiful; love all the pockets. Looking forward to trying some new interfacing when I do get to bag-sewing.
I really like this bag. I haven’t made a bag in some time, but it is about time for one. Your bags are spectacular, and i look forward to each posting of the blog.
I need a new purse and this is just the right size.
Just finished making a new bag a month ago. It is in spring colors–wish that season would hurry and come:) Love the fabric in this Mini Miranda.
ooh! ooh! pick me! pick me!
Kristine in MN
Hi, I love this bag. It’s just right for the Lazie in me. I’m finishing a bag for my aunt made with red hat fabrics. Then I’d like to try this one. Thanks for reading my entry.
The last bag I made was a Candice, which I used every day of the 18 that my husband was hospitalized back in November. I prefer a larger bag, such as the full-sized Miranda, but with walking through the parking garage and hospital every day (and leaving late at night), I wanted the security of a fully-zipped bag. Candice served me well! I have another cut out for my daughter. I own quite a few of your patterns, but not the Mini Miranda, so I’d love to win one!
This is one of the nicest items I have seen. I really like the way it is put together. This is one pattern I would love to have.
I have not yet but need to so I have one to use when I go to my mother in laws for the weekend this looks like a great one to start with. Thanks for chance to win
I want to make 60 bags to give away at a church function in October for women turning 50 this year. I have enough stash fabric to cover it. I just need stiffener, bottoms and a couple different patterns. I should be able to find a ‘few’ appropriate patterns here.
thanks.
Yes! Took a basic sewing class last month where we made simple tote bags. They turned out lovely, but could use a good dose of stiffening with some of your interfacing (we just used plain quilting weight cotton).
I made my first tote bag last year. It’s great for a large “project bag” but I find it’s too big for just every day use. I really like the look of this Mini Miranda bag. It looks like just the size I’m looking for.
I just finished a bag for my daughter….
I have made a bag…finished it yesterday 🙂 I love this Mini Mi! Thanks!!!
I love the look of this bag…with all the pockets. I would love to win the drawing. It would be lots of fun to make the bag for Spring and Summer. Thanks for the give away!!
What a fabulous bag!! I haven’t had a chance to make any bags lately as I’ve been sewing my kids clothes, but this bag looks like a good start back to bag making. 🙂 Thanks for a chance to win! 🙂
Love this bag! Need all kinds of pockets! Found this site a little while ago and it is awesome!
I just got my fabrics out to make a tote for a dear friend of mine… This Mini Miranda tote would be perfect for her 😉 thanks for the chance to win!
Have a wonderful day!
I haven’t made a bag in awhile and would love to use your interfacings. My sister needs a new bag!!!
I made a bag last summer.
rsgrandinetti@yahoo(DOT)com
I’m in the process of making a bag. Am at the “embellish with embroidery” step, and once that is done, it should go together quickly.
I love bags and purses with lots of pockets inside. However, I do prefer a secure closure–zipper-for security. I was pick-pocketed a while back and learned my lesson. So, I simply set in a placket with a zipper before finishing the binding at the top of my bags.
I am such a klutz my bags often fall on the florr and spill stuff–everything. I love the handy compartments too, so eveyrthing is at hand.
Lazy Girl has wonderful construction techniques that make a beautiful bag simple.
Alma Lou
What great summery fresh colours you’ve used for the bag. I haven’t made a bag but I did make a divided basket last week.
Haven’t made a bag in a while but just finished making wallets for the grandchildren! So a new bag would be great.
I am looking forward in making a bag from Lasy Girl Designs that my daughter in the UK managed to get from a store in the UK as we dont get the patterns in my country. JUST CANT WAIT TO START but have to wait until April as it will only be then that I will get the batting(also from the UK)
I’ve never made a tote – this looks like a nice simple one to start with … cute too!
I would love to make your new bag. Love all the pockets
I haven’t make a bag yet but I have lots of patterns. Love this one too!!
I’ve made Miranda but never a mini I love my Miranda she is soo great to take out but a mini would be a wonderful addition to my growing selection of bags
I would love to win this one…love your patterns
I haven’t made a bag lately, but I just purchased a few yards of an oh-so-cute fabric that just had to have, and this would be the perfect project to use it for.
I LOVE your patterns and so hope I win!! Keep them coming!!
I have not made a bag lately but I have fabric that I got last summer for a bag but have not made yet. Swimmers in the pool with lane lines for the main fabric and grey for the poolside sidewalk. I can picture this made up in the Mini Miranda.
Love the mini; would love an even smaller version for little girls.
Have made your bags before, they turn out perfect everytime.
What a great bag! Haven’t done one in awhile.
I’ve made the Miranda before, and it is really a nice looking bag when finished. Very sturdy and lots of storage. This size looks great!
I haven’t made a bag yet this year but I did make the professional tote for travel a while back. This bag pattern looks great.
Your Bag is beautiful. I have only made 1 bag and that was a year or two ago.Would love to win this one .
Love the lazy bags. They are so fun. Love all the fun pictures you post on line.
I’m a bag sewing newbie and love your patterns! I would love the opportunity to win some of your interfacing and a beautiful bag. Thanks for making such great patterns – the results allow even newbies to be proud of their finished product!
I just finished my first tote bag, now I’m hooked! This bag looks like it would be a wonderful size for those of us that cannot travel without the essentials 🙂 OH! and look at all the pockets! 🙂
I’m new to sewing and have always wanted to make my own bags as a girl; now I’m finally starting to do it! I’ve started making a few basic ones and I would love to try out this mini-Miranda! I love the size, organization within, and that it uses interfacing! Thanks for the chance to win!
I am a purse and tote bag freak!!! I luv ’em! The latest ones I made were for gifts this past Christmas!
Love your patterns. Instructions are always very easy to understand, construction is simple….. Can’t wait to make the mini. Last bag I made was 3 months ago for a birthday gift. The recipient LOVED it!!!! Thanks to you and your talent.
Love your patterns! I would love to win!
I made a bag recently!! It’s a version of a mini messenger bag – perfect for holding a tablet or e-reader (or both)! The Runaround Bag is still my favorite bag ever! I think I have one in every color 🙂
Hi! Yes, I recently made a small bag to be used at my only daughter’s wedding later this summer. It was a purselette by Fig Tree Designs. I love making bags!! Why pay for a Vera Bradley when I can make it myself out of the fabrics I want to use!!
It is past time for a new Lazy Girl bag–so hard to choose which one-but know for sure there will be a Wonder Wallet to match. I am thinking it will be Candice–so perfect for my busy days. Thanks for the great patterns.

I’m just now finding you!!! I LOVE your things

Dear Joan,
I think I have almost all of your patterns. My favorite is the “Margo”. I have made at least eight of them. Some have been gifts to family and about four have been donated to our senior center when we have a craft show twice a year. The bag is put into a tea cup auction and has made quite a bit of money for the center. I already have one in progress for our fair which is May 4th. I also will try your new stabilizer in this one. Thanks for all your inspiration.
Sincerely,
Barbara Lange
I made Margo not too long ago, loved her, however before I got to load her up a visiting friend from New Zealand did too, so sent her home with her! must make another one for me! Love all you patterns!

I have not made a bag in a while but I have some material just waiting to make one for a dear friend. I have been making quilts and finished one for my son 2 weeks ago, have the top for a full size log cabin half finished and have the top for a baby blanket almost finished. I am working on it today but just took a break. I would love to win this prize. Thank you for the chance. I am a new follower as well.

I have not made a bag in a long time but really want to try something new.
Have just made a fairly easy bag for a friend
This is a great bag! I recently made a cute library bag for my son with Robot fabric. I am in need of a good “catchall” bag since we are out of the diaper bag but not potty trained yet. Living in Florida we go lots of places for outings most of the day. Moms always carry snacks and I always end up with Matchbox cars in my purse;)
I love love love bags!!! I haven’t made a new one for spring yet but I did just purchase a coin purse pattern. Now I have to get hopping and make a bag with a small purse to match!!
I haven’t had time for sewing lately. My new sewing machine and I are looking forward to quiet afternoons together. This would be a wonderful project to get me off to a wonderful start at my delightful hobby again.

I have made a purse and a tote bag. I love using the tote bag and the purse ended up not being as big as I needed but still was fun to make.
I so love this new pattern. I haven’t made a purse because it scares me. But, I really do believe I could do this one. Even if I don’t get picked, I will probably order it to celebrate being a 10 year survivor of breast cancer. Given a 2% chance of surviving but I know I have beat cancer.

Love th bag! I have not made one lately but need to because my Claire is just about worn out!

Last bag I made was in December, the Runaround, for my best friend. We were meeting her and her hubby for a casino weekend and the Runaround is perfect for casino floor where you want it attached to you and just holding essentials. Love LG patterns, own many. Mini Miranda is adorable and now that I’m retired, I don’t need as big a bag anymore. This would be perfect to join her older sister Miranda and the other girls in my collection. Nice choice of fabrics.

I have made several bags in the past and am currently working on a Mondo Bag. Two years ago, I made 4 cupcake bags for my little grand-daughters for Easter and they loved them. I have not used Bag-E-Bottoms yet but I plan to. In the past, I used plastic mesh (the kind used to stitch on) with underwhelming results. Love your blog!
A person can never have too many bags. Thanks for sharing.

I have made a few bags, one of which is a black-&-white plaid bag for a friend. I’ve got a Lazie purse I made about 3 years ago. I loved it so much I’ve had to store it until I can get around to fixing it back up. I think I’d like to retire that black-white-&-red baby and make one with some browns, greens, and purples. I hope I get the chance with this one!

Yes, I just finished a drawstring bag to carry my knitting!
Bag-making has become my ‘Thing” since going back to school (at 50-something) to finish my degree. The projects are small enough to be fairly quick and not take too much of my study time, but allow for my creative bug to run free. Also, my classmates are oh-so-impressed with all the bags!
Yes I have made bag(s) lately and enjoy your patterns very much! Hope to win this one! Thanks 🙂
