Giveaway: Mini Miranda Pattern and Sew Lazy Interfacing
Lazies, I made this gorgeous Mini Miranda Bag using our new Sew Lazy interfacing and some scrumptious Joel Dewberry prints. Oh my I love that orange and blue. Yum! The Mini Miranda uses a combination of interfacings to get its incredible stand-up-i-tude. Now, I designed this some time ago, before I discovered our new Stiff Stuff, so let me walk through the construction and show you what I did. Be sure to leave a comment after this blog post to enter our giveaway for Mini Miranda pattern and Sew Lazy supplies.
***Giveaway is closed, Sept. 21, 2012***
The outside of the Mini Miranda Bag LGD124 (and the Miranda Day Bag LGD123) are constructed of quilted panels or blocks sewn together. To quilt, the fabrics are backed with our Dreamy sew-in or fusible fleece, then stitched and pieced into the cover panel below. I like to topstitch along the seams to help the seam allowances lay flat and I think it adds a nice finishing detail.
Below we have four quilted panels, backed with Dreamy fusible fleece, stitched together
into the front of the bag. The pattern calls for two, one each for the front and back. Easy as can be.
Below is the back view. You can see the Dreamy fleece in place and quilted.
I trim the seam allowances a bit at the edges to reduce bulk during final construction.
Then we cut the corner notches that will create the box bottom of the bag.
Finally, top the whole thing with Face-It Firm fusible med/heavy interfacing. Note that I keep it
in from the side and bottom edges to reduce bulk in the seam allowances during final construction.
The combination of Dreamy fusible fleece and Face-It Firm fusible interfacing really work together to create great posture in Mini Miranda. Let me tell you – This. Baby. Stands. Up. Straight.
I designed the bag using this combination of interfacing/fleece because that’s all I knew was available to me at the time. Now we also have the choice of using Stiff Stuff Firm sew-in interfacing.
Sew Lazy Interfacing Options
We have three good options to support the Mini Miranda Bag. This is just for the cover fabric. You’ll still want to use Face-It Firm to interface the lining fabric.
– Dreamy fusible fleece + Face-It Firm
– Stiff Stuff + Face-It Firm
– Stiff Stuff by itself (skip the Face-It Firm for the cover pieces, but do remember to use Face-It for the lining fabric)
Remember that Stiff Stuff has no loft, so if you want a quilty look, go for the Dreamy fleece. You can quilt the Stiff Stuff, but again, it won’t have the trademark ‘quilty’ look.
Supply List
2/3 yd Dreamy Fusible Fleece (or 1 yd Stiff Stuff)
1 1/2 yd Face-It Firm fusible med/heavy interfacing

I love all the purses you’ve come up with – keep up the great work!
Can’t wait for the interfacing to be in one of our local shops. I’m a “bag” lady if there ever was one.
Miranda is one of my favorites – I’ve made 10+ so far. I haven’t tried the interfacings and fleece yet but it’s on my to-do list. I don’t want to hurt Miranda’s feelings but Candice is my new favorite.
The Mini Miranda looks cute, cute! It’s just the right size for just the right amount of stuff. I’m interested in the interfacing. I’ll,look for it at my LQSs. Thanks!
I would like to try the interfacing, sounds nice and the mini miranda bag looks to be just my size!
I love the Mini Miranda! I’ve never been happy with the interfacings I’ve used for purses and totes and I have a feeling the Sew Lazy interfacings will be the ONE I’ve been looking for!

Janice
LOVE this Mini Miranda !! The new interfacing looks wonderful. Keep up the good work 🙂
Joan Sensei! I always love reading your blogs. Mini Miranda is just wonderful; I have made one for my mother who is 82 this year and she just loves it!
I’m looking forward to trying the interfacing on my next bag project. Thanks for your website and especially thanks for your patterns.
I wish I had found the pattern here in my country – but so far no luck … Anyway, I enjoy bagmaking, so I will try to get hold of the “Stiff Stuff” as it seems so smart to work with, and the bags can (as you showed me in an earlier post) be treated quite hard, and yet get back in shape -LOVE THAT!!
I love the Lazy Girl patterns I have tried and am eager to try this one using the new interfacing. Purses are so much fun to make and they always fit!
I have loved this bag for a while now. This is just the motivation I needed to add it to my list.
I LOVE all your patterns but especially the mini purses!! Can’t wait to try your new interfacings!
Would love to try the interfacing also. Mini Miranda is such a cute bag. Will have to check my local shop to see what it she is carrying your products now. Thank you! d.leisa@yahoo.com
Mini Miranda is the perfect size for everyday on the go..all day.
You have such a talent to explain how to do your patterns… I always know yours are doable for me.. not so on other patterns..
Can’t wait to be able to get some of your supplies… I know they will be great…
I like making bags and think the new fusible fleece and interfacings will be a great improvement over what has been available. Have wanted to try one of the Miranda’s.
I love, love, love your patterns and clear instructions. I feel like you’re right besides me giving me a personal “how to!” I can’t wait to try your new interfacings and since I never know which one to chose, I love the names you have given them.
That is so cute, and it doesn’t look all that difficult. Love it.
I love (and frequently use) my full-size Miranda, so the Mini is sure to be a winner!
Lovely purse. Like your patterns very much.
Love your patterns and can’t wait to try the new interfacing. I love making bags and have wanted something to stiffen them a bit and this sounds perfect.
I’m so excited to try this new interfacing! I love crisp lines on bags, so your Face It is right up my alley. Thanks for continuing to develop your great ideas! My daughters tote all their ballet gear in little Summer bags.
Good Morning Oh I love the colors..I live in TN so the orange is perfect and the bag is just as cute as it can be. I will have to check our local LQS which is Sew-Bee-It, to see if they carry the interfacing because I think it is very important to use the perfect interfacing to make the bag look professionally sewn and I love the way you all have your instructions written out sew perfect…thanks for entering me in your give-a-way.
I just love the Mini Miranda! I just made the Gracie bag this past week/weekend and I was looking to purchase the Miranda bag and the new stiff stuff interfacing next! Happy sewing!
Joan…LOVE your bags! Cant wait to try your new Stiff Stuff!
Warmest Regards–Andrea
The colours of this bag are soooo good, as is the style, I will certainly be giving this one a go!
I am so excited about the line of interfacing I can’t wait. If I had the money I’d go ahead and order the set on bolts! It’s so easy to understand what each one is, and I’m so tired of going and feeling up all of the interfacing until one has the hand I’m looking for. I think this is great!
Mini Miranda looks like the perfect bag for so many uses!
I love the Miranda Tote, so I guess the Mini Miranda Bag will be as loveable. I am looking forward to try the new interfacing!
I have been a long time fan of the Lazy Girl patterns. I believe have made all of them, at least once! I’m thrilled that you have come out with a line of interfacings and can’t wait to use Stiffy in my next project which will be the Claire in Christmas fabrics!
I have already ordered the Stiff Stuff and others from Sew Thankful who sold out quickly and now am on back order so you see what a need there is for this GOOD interfacing! I have been very disappointed with Decor Bond -can’t wait to try yours on a new bag for me!! Love all your patterns but would like to try the Mini Miranda.
Looks like another great product! Can’t wait to try it.
Just love that you share your wonderful talent with us and how you are always coming up with ways to improve or embellish your original designs!
I love to experiment with new interfacings and try new bag patterns. can’t wait to try both. Stiff Stuff looks like a winner!

Joan, I love the way the bag looks with your new interfacing. Love your stuff and can’t wait till I can get my hands on some.
Our LQS has gotten all 7 of your new products in and we’re all lovin’ ’em!! I can’t WAIT to try the Iron On Vinyl, so I can wipe my bags clean!
Thank you for all that you do….design, simplify, print, publish, sew samples and continuing to come up with new things all the time!!
Smiles,
Candy
I cannot wait to order my own interfacings – I always have so much trouble getting what I need, between the oddball names at the local chain fabric store and the little stock that is available.
Thank you so much for making it easier!
I haven’t tried the mini Miranda yet but look forward to doing so. Can’t wait to try the new interfacings.
I LOVE the Lazy patterns that I have purchased!!!!!!! I make the bags for gifts all the time and my gift recipients are so thrilled with the style, pockets, etc. I don’t have the Miranda or MiniMiranda – I have not yet found it in my area – so I would love to win!!!!
That Mini Miranda looks like the perfect mix between too big and too small. I love the colors, but of course I always love the colors you choose. I haven’t made a purse in a long time, can’t wait to try one with your new interfacing.

I love the mini Miranda, I can not wait until the new interfacings get to my sewing store. I love making bags for my slef and others. I teach sewing classes and love to stay on top of things, thanks for trying to improve our sewing notions.
Love the mini Miranda purse. I want to make one for myself and give the new interfacing a try.

Joel Dewberry is the best. Cute bag!
Just finished a lovely Candace – and the mini Miranda looks so great – I’d love to stitch it up next!
Your patterns are the best, far and away, for so many reasons. I love them and recommend them to fellow sew-ers.
I see a new fall bag in my future and Christmas presents too! I’ve always loved the Miranda bags but didn’t think I’d be happy with it after lots of use–I prefer a “structured look”. The new interfacings have solved that issue. I can’t wait to try the new products. Thanks!
Your Mini Miranda bag is darling, and I am so anxious to try out the new line of interfacings. It’s just what we’ve needed for far too long!!
“Thank You” for your GREAT Visual Tutorial on using these different interfacings. LUV your Mini-Miranda too. HUGS!!!

I have enjoyed making the Maggie bags and the Miranda bag looks really easy to make also. Plus can’t wait to try the new interfacings that you have now. They look much easier to use then the ones that I have used in the past.
The only thing better than a Mini Miranda is one made w/the new interfacings. Can’t wait to try them and hope they will be carried by a local shop. The Miranda’s are my all time favs!
Love the bag. Would like to have the opportunity to use the new lazy products!
Loooove it!!!

Great post! Thanks for the tips with the seam allowances! The interfacings sound great. Seems like I can never find what I need to make a bag.

The bag is so cute!!! I’ve only made two other purses and liked one interfacing but not the other but of course, I can’t remember which one it was that I liked. Love to try this one!
Mini Miranda looks like the perfect quilt show bag, and the interfacing does look fabulous. :0)
I love the size of this bag!! I also love that it stands up. It has always been a challenge to get my bags to stand up enough without being to difficult to stitch.
Love it!!! Cannot wait to try the new interfacing!
I love the mini bag and the colors you picked are gorgeous. I would ove to have this pattern to add to my handbags. It looks like its just the right size for me!
Like all of your patterns I’ve tried. Would like to try the Miranda and the new interfacing.
I haven’t needed to get the nice interfacings you found yet but I do love the Miranda bag. It has a classic style with a modern look.
I’d love to chat about how beautiful that bag is, because it is beyond beautiful, but I gotta go order my Dreamy FF and my Sew Lazy Interfacing! Just beautiful, and you keep making it easier!
Love the MiniMiranda. I made a Miranda for a friend and kept thinking I’d love it if it were a bit smaller 🙂
I love how you show the use of your interfacing in the mini bag. Can’t wait to give it a try. Thanks for your instructions.
I love the Mini Miranda bag! I was a fan of the popular quilted bags but I love the fact that I can choose my own fabric and have a bag no one else does! Last Wednesday night I just cut out another mini miranda and a regular miranda for myself too 🙂 Have not yet tried your new interfacings, etc but I hope to be able to order some soon. Oh, my daughters love the runaround bag! It was my youngests first project after a scrappy quilt of 4″ squares. She is so proud of herself and I love that your zipper directions make it easy even for a beginner!
I thank you for finding interfacing that will make the bag stand on its own. Just love all your patterns.
Hey, Lazy Girl…I love that Mini Miranda bag…and the new interfacing looks like a winner to me!
Lovely as always, thanks for sharing with one of us.
Ordered some of your products last week. Can’t wait for them to get here. The bag is stunning. I make lots of bags and am looking forward to trying your products.
Haven’t sat at my sewing machine in over a year, but has has inspired me to give it a try! Thanks for inspiring me!
Can’t wait for the new interfacings to reach the shops in our area. I am on the hunt for the ideal (in my eyes) support for my bags and will certainly be looking for these. Love the fabric in the new Miranda Bag.
Great purse and great products. Thank you for finding the best products to achieve the best results.
I have several of your patterns and like them all. This bag is really cute and I look forward to trying the stiffer interfacing. thanks for the chance to win!
Oh I can’t wait to make bags with your new interfacings…the ones from JoAnn’s can be so frustrating…and I am headed now to print off your tutorial – thanks so much for doing it, the interfacings, your wonderful patterns, and of course the chance to win!
I have been searching for a project to teach the deaf women of Guatemala so they can use their hand woven fabrics and produce a product that can be sold to support their families. This looks like an ideal design for them. It is simple, easy to construct and versatile. Thank you for your creativity.
Can’t wait to try the new Stiff Stuff stabilizer.
That was an excellent tutorial. I like the way that you don’t put the Face-It Firm fusible in the seam allowance. I have had trouble with overly bulky seams. I am going to try this. Thanks so much for the tutorial.
Just love the idea of the new stiff stuff. It sure would love a lot of my baggie bags. I would love to try it out.
Just the right sized bag! I love that there are 6 pockets. I saw a demo of the Stiff Stuff at Sew Expo. It really does do wonders for a purse or tote.
Finally the guessing game is OVER!!! So looking forward to trying your new interfacings!! I really love making bags and have found your directions the very best!!
I have ordered the product and anxiously awaiting the arrival. I sew diaper bags for gifts and all the time experimenting with interfacing. I think I may have found what I have been looking for and thank you for the tutorial.
Love the Mini Miranda. Can’t wait to try your new interfacing products.
Would love to recieve the Sew Lazy supplies to try them out. Plus time to make another purse. Might as well be the Mini Miranda. Love all of the LGD purse patterns.
I’ve made the Miranda and love it–along with many other Lazy Girl purse patterns. Your directions are extremely easy to follow–which is important for a “sewing” challenged person like me since I’m coming from the quilting side of the craft! Purchased the Mini Miranda pattern some time ago and just haven’t had a chance to make it. Perhaps that was providential since now I can experiment with your new interfacings to make it!!
I love the look of the Miranda bag and would love to make one. I love your bags! Am also excited to see the new interfacings and am planning to purchase some.
Can’t wait to try out Stiff Stuff. Looked for it this weekend at a quilt show but didn’t see any. Guess I’ll have to order it online….
My family has threatened to send me, along with all my beautiful bags, to NYC for retirement. If that happens I will be the most stylish bag lady there. Thanks for a chance to enter.
I would love to try your new Stiff Stuff. Such a Clever Name! 🙂 Thank you for the chance to win some.
I think the names you gave to all the interfacings are great! Makes it easy to know what each one does best! Thanks.
Would have like to had these to use in a diaper (2 made) bag made for our last two grandchildren. The process seems so simple. Thanks for the lesson. Love the colors, as well.
I have been making bags for years and this one has so many great hints. Thank you, I will use all of them in the next bag.
Love, Love, Love it!!!! Can’t wait to try the new products!
It has been difficult to find the products to use for these wonderful products that you want to have just “sew”. Thanks for making them easy to find and use!
I prefer small bags and Mini Miranda is as large as I sew for a purse. It’s just great, although, I would prefer a zipper at the top. Having it closed would be just perfect so things don’t fall out and other people’s fingers don’t get in. LOL
Your directions are so wonderful and plainly printed they make sewing bags so much fun.
sewing with a smile, d
I can’t wait to try some of the Sew Lazy interfacing and I love the Mini Miranda!
I’ve always wanted to get the mini miranda bag pattern, but haven’t yet. It’s not too small and not too big. I like all of your bags. I think the new interfacing looks great too.
I would love to win the giveaway.
Now winning this is probably the best chance I have of getting this fabulous sounding stiff stuff here in Australia.
Must check if Hancock s have it.
I have never made a bag before but this would give me everything I would need to get going.
Thanks for having this.
Love the new interfacings! They make a bag look professional not homemade.also like the Mimi size purse,I don’t like a super big purse it’s very hard on the shoulders!
Such a cute bag – and love the fabric used in it.
I have several of your patterns, but have not tried the Miranda bag. The Mini Miranda looks great. I can’t wait to try your new interfacings. Thanks for the giveaway!
Love the new interfacings to make your purse look professional. Also like the mini bag purse it’s big enough for all I need to carry.

So nice to see a fellow Buckeye designing such great patterns and congrats on moving into the product innovation field. 🙂
I have all of your patterns and can’t wait for one of the local shops to get the new interfacing. People often comment on my bags more than my Coach purses.
I am anxious to try your new interfacings! Will they be quilt shop only, or also available in big box fabric stores too? I have been frustrated with some of the products I have been using, and looking forward to alternatives!!! aghollandattriaddotrrdotcom

I’m obsessed with the Miranda and Mini Miranda handbags! Many ladies in my quilt group made them after they saw mine. I love picking out fabrics and color schemes to make them look totally different. I have not had the opportunity to use the Sew Lazy Interfacing yet, but can’t wait try it on my next one.
love all of your bags, I´m sewing Margo Handbag now and I would love to do the Mini Miranda.
Your instructions are very well written…the closeup shots are very helpful to a first timer making your handbags. Would love to try the Sew Lazy interfacings!
Love the Mi Miranda bag. Anxious to try the new interfacings you have now too, I do love for the bags to stand right.
I absoultely love the Mini Miranda bag in the Joel Dewberry fabrics. I’m anxious to try the Sew Lazy Interfacing. I’m heading to my LQS today to see if she will order it. I especially appreciate your clear photos and steps. They make me feel like a sewing pro!
Like the look of this bag and your colour is brilliant. Don’t know if we can get these interfacings in the UK. Was at a quilting show the other week and couldn’t see anything like them.
Hazel
LOVE the Miranda…..
Can’t wait to get my hands on the new products. I teach bag classes and your designs are a favorite!
Just made the Miranda. Wow, what a nice bag. Made it for my sister-in-law so can’t wait to make one for me! Also, can’t wait to try the Mini, plus all your new interfacings.
Can’t wait to try your interfacings! They’ll be the perfect unseen heroes in the bags!
I’m a newbie to Lazy Girl Designs. What peaked my interest from everything I’ve read in regards to the patterns and the videos I’ve watched, the patterns are NOT complicated! This convinced me to place my first order as of yesterday. I debated between the Gracie and Miranda and finally had to rely on a coin toss and ended up purchasing the Gracie. It was AFTER the purchase, I seen the special in regards to the stiff stuff interfacing. 🙁 I would so love to add the mini Miranda to my future new collection of Lazy Girl handbags. 🙂

Sharon
This is one of my favorite bag designs!!
ohhh, I need that and the stiff stuff, FINALLY, no more droopy bags!
I love the idea of ” stand-up-i-tude”! I enjoy making bags… but I get frustrated when they don’t retain their shape. This looks like a great solution that I’m going to need to play with! 🙂

Your interfacing products are most welcome. It has been so difficult to find products that really worked for bag construction. Great bag and fabrics too.
Love the idea of fusible fleece and the miranda bags are great.

Joan so happy about the new interfacing options.

What a lovely bag, and a perfect size too!
I have followed “Lazy Girl” for a few years now, and saved as much info as I could – now that I have full access to my machine – I can make beautiful gifts for my family; and I can make the things that I long wanted to have as part of my home! With the holidays around the corner – I will be happily busy at my machine. Thank you for being the creative muse that you are – for me and I know for countless others!
Mini Miranda is for the “lazy lady” kind of life I live! Something that everything will fit in and just sling it over the shoulder and go, go, go, but go slow cause I’m lazy too.
I love the size of the mini Miranda! I enjoy sewing bags but my one complaint is the fact that they don’t have enough body! With the new interfacing products I’m anxious to try them in a new bag!
I love both of the Miranda bags – they look like fun! I was hoping the smaller one would work to tote my tablet when I don’t want to carry the bigger one 🙂
I love your bags and wallets! Have made over 300 of your wonder wallets for the Shriner’s Hospital in Chicago for the children who stay there. They love them! Just ordered 4 of your bag patterns, but missed seeing the Mini Miranda. Would absolutely love to win this! Thanks so much for your amazing creativity!
What a PERFECT bag this would be for teens that need various bags to go with their outfits. You could make different ones to fit their needs.

Love seeing all your bags. Your patterns are very well written & I’ve enjoyed making many.
Joan,
Several years ago my DD asked me to design a tote for her to carry to writer’s conference.
I am known for the totes that I make.
I was feeling uninspired when I found your site and the Summer Tote. My creativity re-awakened.
That bag was a hit with Melissa and with your readers.
Since then I have made many different Lazy Bags. It is so hard to get all of the materials here in La Paz, so I must try to get everything in my annual shopping trip north.
So to win some Sew Lazy fusibles and a pattern would fill me with joy!
I’ve been wanting to try to make myself a handbag and Mini Miranda looks perfect! Thanks for the opportunity to win a copy of the pattern.
Thanks for being so generous. Love your great sewing and product ideas.

This bag is so pretty. I have not yet tried to make one of your bags, but this may convince me to do so. It sounds easy enough.
I am so excited by the Sew Lazy Interfacings! I have ordered 3 yards of the Fusi-Bond Lite from Sew Thankful. I am planning a Silk quilt, and want the Fusi-Bond Lite to help stabilize the silk. And it was on sale, too! Would love to win the giveaway. Thanks, Joan
One of my pet peeves are purses without body. I want my purses and bags to be crisp and be able to retain their shape. (Unless of course, that’s not how they were designed.)Your new product Stiff Stuff seems to be the cat’s (stiff) pajamas. Can’t wait to try some. Congratulations again for producing something new that really has tremendous potential .
just started making bags, would love to try this one.
That bag is the size I prefer and so do my shoulders. Anxious to try the interfacings.
I have the larger bag pattern but I have yet to make it. I have made other bags from Lazy girl and have had loads of compliments on everyone of them. I think making this bag with the extra fusing will make me a very happy camper. I do not like slouchy bags! Thanks for this opportunity to try it out.
Have loved your patterns for years. Can’t wait to try the new interfacing ideas!
Thank you so much for the tutorial. I need to make this bag!
Fabulous- fantastic bag!!

The interfacing is so tempting .. but I’ve always wanted a really great bag pattern like yours.
Thanks for the opportunity.
Mini-Miranda LOVE–constructed with Stiff Stuff & Joel Dewberry is not only “dreamy, scrumptious, & yum,” but also oh-so-PERKY! And top-stitched all over–just BEAUTIFUL!
Hi Joan,
Thank you for the chance to win.
The mini looks great, but how could it not, you designed it.
Love the stiff stuff too.
Cheers, Cindy Aus.
Hope your number generator has a lot of numbers. Took forever to get to the comment section. I am very excited about your new interfacings and stiffeners, they sound wonderful. I have fabric waiting to do a Miranda, just not enough time.

Patti
love that bag thanks
Have made gifts from almost allyour patterns and it looks like my granddaughters will have Mini Miranda on their lists this year.
I hardly know where to begin. I’ve been a subscriber for a while, I own a few of your other bag patterns and love them. They’re simple to follow along and make me look like I have talent even though I’m barely a novice! The Miranda bag (and now the Mini Miranda) is a pattern I’m in love with for a very different reason. Last September my 6th child, Miranda Gloria, was born. She went into distress at birth and required life support. She passed away 28 days later. We’re just now getting plans together for marking what would be her birthday in a way that honors her and how special she was. I know there is no way you could ever know all this but I just wanted to tell you that for a baby-loss mom seeing my daughter’s name is a blessing, so when your emails come through for the Miranda bags I smile and my heart feels hugged.
I have been thinking about sewing bags, but I’ve been intimidated. This set might be perfect to get me started.
I love this bag! Can’t wait to try one.
That is such a cute bag. I love your patterns in general. You have good directions that are easy to follow. I haven’t been to the store yet to see if I can find the interfacing locally. Looking forward to trying it out eventually.
I Love this bag! I can’t wait to try making one.
Love the Mini Miranda. Size looks good and colours just perfect. We are now in spring and I really need motivation to get back into sewing. Thank you for all your designs.
Hey Joan,

Go Mini Miranda Go
I adore it, the mini tute is really helpful, makes it look easier to make on our own as well. I cant afford this pattern but the bag looks as if a neat person could make it and carry it all around. I really do like it a lot. heck I like all your bag patterns
The mini Miranda bag looks like the perfect size to bring home papers to grade. Love it!

Joan, Don’t have Mini Miranda but it looks like the PURRFECT size for an everyday bag! Could the top be altered to accept a zipper? Now that Fall is here, it’s time to dust off the sewing machine and get busy!! Got my fingers crossed that MM finds her way to my sewing room!! Thanks for the opportunity!
Want it! Want it! Want it! Would really like to try the new interfacings.
I love making the Miranda bag and have received many compliments on them but I only have that pattern and would really like to try the mini size.
I have already ordered the newStiff Stuff interfacing! I’m looking forward to using it on the mini Miranda bag.
I love the look of the mini Miranda! I have the full sized pattern and have made it at least three times. Plus, the construction techniques are so well explained that my experience with your pattern has helped me to make other bags and even to help other quilters figure out their patterns!
Thanks for the contest,
Sarah

I’m new to the bag making, but love your bag patterns and can’t wait to try the new interfacings. I’ve never had a lot of luck with the Peltex — a little too stiff and thick and have discouraged me from making more bags. Love your demonstrations. You make it look so easy.
Woukld love to win the pattern.

The mini miranda is absolutely adorable and I can wait to make it.
Thank you for all of your wonderful designs.

Peggy

Very Nice, as usual looks easy, and is a nice size.
This is such a perfect size and shape to help (Ha!) get me organized. I am a purse finatic and just have to have this. Love being able to choose my own colors. The new stiffening sounds like it will be super nice for helping to keep it’s shape and good look. Thanks for all the lovely ideas!

Very nice! I can definitely see this in my future to make for my daughter!
I recently made a carrying case for all my quilting tools so that I could take it to classes. But I had so much trouble with the Deco Bond. I was very discouraged to try anymore projects. I am so excited to hear about your interfacing. I’m hoping it will get me back in the spirit of making purses!!

The mini Miranda is absolutely adorable!! Love the color combos!
The Mini Miranda is adorable! I’m just starting to dabble in making bags and the whole world of interfacing seems to have quite the learning curve. I haven’t used your line yet, but the names are much more descriptive of the job they accomplish and I like that.
Having taught almost all of Lazy Girl’s Bag patterns in classes, I can honestly say that they, including Mini Miranda, are great patterns to make and use. My favorite, to date mind you, is Candice – I’ve made her in four different fabrics. But MM might just move ahead to first place. We’ll have to wait and see!
Love this site. Love the pattern. Hope to learn more from the ideas. It spells FUN!!!
I love Joan’s patterns and can’t wait for my dealer to get in her stablizers. My friend made a mini Miranda several years ago and it is her favorite bag. I’m jealous!

I just love this new pattern. I love to work with your patterns because they are well written and very easy to follow. Please keep the designs coming.
I’m so excited about the mini-Miranda. I’m 4’11” and 100 pounder, so only a few of the bag patterns are small enough for me to carry. I’ve made the larger ones and feel like a little girl carrying her mother’s bag. Thank you so much.
Shirley
Your patterns are always so user friendly! I love that! I’ll be ordering some Sew Lazy interfacing very soon – need to see how much I actually need to order – I’m working on Christmas gifts!! Would love to win this combo – the Mini Miranda bag is one of the few patterns that I don’t have.

Oh my my, I must order these new items for my shop. Love the ease of knowing what each product will do for my project, as well as, how to care for it. My customers are going to love these new Lazy products, planning with fabric until my distributor ships it to me.

Wow, am so glad that I haven’t found the time to make the mini Miranda out of the fabrics I have chosen for it and in a project bag with the pattern. Now I can order the lazy interfacings and make it your new way for a Stand Up grand purse. Thanks for the opportunity to win the kit stuff.

I love your patterns. They are so well written and easy to follow. Mini is a wonderful size. Thank you for explaining the interfacings that make a bag really stand up and be firm. I have a quilt club meeting tonight and will be asking for the shop owner to order your interfacings. Thank you for sharing your creative materials.
That Joel Dewberry fabric pops! Those colors and the quilting really show off the Mini Maranda pattern. I would love to try doing the panels like that. Looking forward to using the fusible fleece interfacing and trying to quilt my panels. Would really love to win the pattern!

Joan – I haven’t tried a Mini Miranda yet but I am confident that with your “lazy” instructions I will be able to master yet another of your patterns.
Thank you for being a Lazy Girl.
Please enter me in the giveaway. Thanks!
The Mini Miranda Bag was the first real “bag” I made and the instructions were very clear and easy to follow. I love the final result, but my interfacing was not stiff enough, so my bag does not stand up straight. 🙁 I would love to try some of your stiff stuff.
Great patterns, easy to follow. Fantastic designs.
I love the mini-Miranda, it’s so cute!! It looks like a great size to make for Christmas gifts.
I´m gonna make one for myself to have on my holiday in Spain this christmas!
Lot of hugs from Sweden. /Malin

Though I haven’t had the opportunity to use the Stiff Stuff, I do love the bags! Every one I make gets raves, and I do manage to use some sort of stiffener, but the right stuff would be nice~

I love the mini-miranda! I haven’t sewn in awhile, but this would give me a great idea of what to start with.
This would be a very nice package to win, indeed! I have not seen the Sew Lazy Interfacing at any of the local shops, and would welcome the opportunity to work with it. I’ve done a few other Lazy Girl patterns and loved every one of them –so have the recipients of these gifts! The Miranda Day bag is wonderful, but a bit big for me, but the Mini Miranda looks to be nearly perfect. I could fit my wallet, a few essentials, my pre-schooler’s small toy & cup, as well as my planner and Nook in there! Trying to find stylish, perfect-fit bags was the whole reason I got into making them.
Can’t wait to try your new interfacing!!! I would love the mini Miranda bag, so cute!

I would love to win the giveaway. I have some of the “Lazy” patterns. They sew up so nicely!
So cute, I love your bag patterns!
I have been making purses for years as my have on hand “gifts”. These are mostly gifts to myself as I recieve so much pleasure in making them. I decided long ago , that I only use Lazy Girl designs. Your instructions and pictures are flawless. There are some stunning designs out there, but being a designer has nothing to do with selling a pattern that is a nightmare to produce. I have a ton of those from old, which I think I will use the paper for art projects. Keep on designing..your work is great!
I don’t know whether it’s just me or if everybody else experiencing issues with your website.
It looks like some of the written text in your posts are running off the screen. Can someone else please provide feedback and let me
know if this is happening to them as well? This could be a problem with my internet browser because I’ve
had this happen before. Cheers
I make purses every year as gifts and have never tried the fusible fleece or face it firm. I love this pattern, suggestions and love the website! My first time here.
Love the orange and blue on this bag. Thank you for the pattern.
