Love and hugs to my friend Emily and her family. I’m long overdue for a trip to see Em and I need to make that happen!
I have a HS friend who is struggling with this Holiday season. Her 26 year old son died suddenly in June, on my friend’s wedding anniversary. Her son was buried 3 days before his wife gave birth to their second son. It’s been a rough season and I hope she can find some joy this Christmas.
Sending hugs and positive thoughts to a friend whose young daughter is undergoing radiation therapy for an inoperable brain tumor this month.
I’m sending a lot of love and wishes for a very Merry Christmas to my 3 Navy kids that are away from us this holiday season, along with their shipmates who also can’t be with their families.
My wish for the coming year is that my quilting skills improve, and I get the confidence I need to make my quilting business succeed!
Sending love and hope to my sister who is having septic problems and may have to get a new septic system installed which they don’t have the money for.
My wish is for everyone to enjoy some real peace this Christmas season and to remember what it is all really about.

Sending love YOUR way. Can’t thank you enough for your marvelous Craftsy classes. I have had a blast making the zippered bags. One thing I did differently for the Bendy bag was this. Took a zipper apart. Then used one colour for half of the zipper (say pink) and another colour for the other half (say blue) and a yellow pull.

I miss the times we had together as a group of sewers and want for them to all come together somehow and form another group so we can get back to doing for others by sewing . we used to do so much for nursing homes and hospital and other projects and hope to get back to it.

I am in a place right now where I actually need a little love. I have been dealing with hypoglycemia and passing out at work, and I was recently terminated because of my condition. My employer was unable to make accommodations for me to have a saf work environment. Anyway, I need a new job! That is my wish for the new year. Prayers to all for healing, whether it’s physical or emotional ailments. Sewing transports us to another world and eases some of those pains. Thanks to you, Joan, for your lovelies that we can sit and in a couple of hours have made a beautiful gift, helping us to feel accomplished and have a bit of love in our hands to share and give that love to someone else. I need help to put some color in a black coach purse so I can differentiate the four sections. I saw the velcro fusion and wondered if this would work. Please help. Thanks.
I have made 2 Becca bags using YKK zippers. No trouble at all & I tend to be zipper-phobic. I have just spent 30 minutes trying to test a Coats & Clark zipper before putting it into another bag. I cannot get the zipper pull back on the teeth. No matter what I do. I have tried using the modified side first & tried making fresh cuts to eliminate the fraying and possibly a damaged tooth. Now I am zipper-frustrated!!
My sincere recommendation is to only use YKK zippers.
